A South West communications consultancy for place-makers, purposeful business and public bodies has expanded its presence in Exeter with a new appointment.
Distinctive Communications has appointed Arianne Smart as account manager to lead on public relations and communications support to clients in the area. This comes as the consultancy records its "second successful year of operation" and takes on several new clients and projects across the region.

Ms Smart has worked in PR agencies for almost 10 years; she is an accredited practitioner from industry body the Chartered Institute of Public Relations, and holds a degree in Public Relations.
She said: "It is a really exciting time to be joining the team. Distinctive has really made its mark in the South West, supporting clients in property and place-making and achieving some stand-out results.
"I am looking forward to supporting the talented team on delivering communications work for the existing client base, as well as leading on new projects and looking to increase our presence in and around Exeter."
Distinctive Communications supports clients including Bath and North East Somerset Council, Nuclear South West and developer Reef Group, which is partnering with Gloucester City Council to bring forward the £107m Gloucester regeneration project, The Forum.
Chartered PR Practitioner Ben Lowndes founded the firm in June 2022. He said: "I am proud of everything we’ve achieved since launching Distinctive in 2022 and expanding our footprint in the South West is an exciting new opportunity for us.
