Sales more than doubled and losses were slashed at a company which organises hospitality, tickets and accommodation to major sporting events across the world.
Byrom, which is headquartered in Cheadle, has reported a turnover of £14.9m for the 12 months to September 30, 2021, up from the £6.2m it posted for the prior year.
In newly-filed documents with Companies House, the business also confirmed its pre-tax losses were cut from £3m to £461,818 over the same period.
The firm provides accommodation, hospitality, ticketing, VIP management, transport and logistics as well as IT services and is currently working with the FIFA World Cup in Qatar, the British Grand Prix, The Open and The Ryder Cup.
It has had ties with every FIFA World Cup going back to USA 1994 as well as Euro 2012.
The business was established in 1991, has ten offices worldwide.
A statement signed off by the board said: "Sales in 2021 were higher than the previous year due to the commencement of work in Qatar during the period and sales for the Concacaf Gold Cup which is held every two years.
"Operating expenses were higher to reflect the increased business activity and to ensure that the group is well placed to meet its commitments for the forthcoming year.
"The Ryder Cup contract runs through to 2027 if KPIs are met for the 2023 event.
"We therefore look forward to starting sales as the official travel services operator in the forthcoming year for the event which will be held near Rome in 2023.
"We will continue to operate the official Accommodation Bureau of The Open and provide accommodation for major sporting events throughout the world.
"Byrom plc will continue to provide staffing, technology and project solutions in respect of accommodation for the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 and provide accommodation services to Concafaf for their events in 2022."
