A new business has relocated to Bournemouth Airport's Aviation Business Park.
Breathe Safety Group has joined the 200-acre estate, alongside more than 200 other businesses at the Dorset business location, supporting more than 4,000 local jobs with thousands more planned.
The business specialises in providing confined space breathing apparatus and life support systems, training and equipment for hazardous industrial environments, with a particular focus on the oil and gas industry. Having outgrown its split premises in Ferndown and Verwood, Breathe Safety has consolidated all of its operations on the Aviation Business Park next to the airport.

Breathe Safety has acquired a refurbished 21,000 sq ft warehouse with ground floor offices, adjacent storage yard and 25 car parking spaces on the eastern side of the estate.
Director Nick Aris, who founded Breathe Safety in 2001, said: “We’d outgrown our former premises and were operating from two sites, so when this unit became available on the Aviation Business Park it was the perfect solution. We have an ambitious growth plan which includes more manufacturing, service support and skilled labour provision so the combination of an outside yard, covered warehouse space and offices was very important to us. Our new home has all of that, in a great location.”
Mr Aris said the business employs around 55 staff and half would be permanently based at Aviation Business Park. Breathe Safety also has four remote sites serving the whole of the UK and Europe and a growing export order book.
Mike Murray, commercial real estate director for Rigby Real Estate, which owns and manages Aviation Business Park, said: “We’re delighted to welcome Nick and his team to the park. They join more than 200 national and international businesses with some 4,000 employees across the mixed-use estate and we continue to see strong interest from a range of potential new occupiers.”
Rigby Real Estate is part of Rigby Group plc, which also owns and operates neighbouring Bournemouth Airport. It is currently developing a brand new industrial warehouse unit on the Aviation Business Park called ABP39.
This is part of an ongoing expansion which could deliver more than a million square feet of development, supporting 2,600 new jobs and generating an additional £100m annually for the Dorset economy.
