Paradise Birmingham
The Paradise Circus development, which has been renamed Paradise Birmingham, is the most central regeneration scheme in Birmingham. Some of the city’s more recognisable buildings - the Central Library and the Conservatoire among them - will be knocked down to make way for a host of new buildings for office, leisure and hotel use, as well as more open public areas and a Midland Metro tram stop. Clearing work began in January 2015, with the first two buildings due to be constructed by 2018. The whole scheme is expected to be completed in 2025.
