Black fashion designers, poets, artists and musicians are to be celebrated at a special black-tie event in Manchester next week as part of Black History Month.
The Black Creative Soirée, which is being held at Manchester Museum on Friday, October 27, will include fashion shows, spoken word performances and musical acts, including Afro beats music, dancers and drummers. There will also be an exhibition by black artists.
The yearly showcase is being run by award-winning fashion brand Cultureville and BOB Expo - the largest shopping expo featuring black businesses in the UK.
Cultureville was founded by Adeola and Ronke Jane Adelakun with a vision to make modern African fashion more accessible. BOB Expo was established by Monique Kufuor and has been running for five years.
