Altera Healthcare relocates team out of capital to Birmingham

Company which provides electronic patient records has chosen new base in city's business district

A healthcare company has relocated its London-based team to a new home in Birmingham city centre.

Altera Healthcare (IT) UK, which provides electronic patient records, has launched the new base in the Northspring building, in Temple Street.

The company said the move came in response to the growing needs of the UK healthcare sector.

Emily Fenton, vice-president of business operations, said: "We are excited to establish our presence in Birmingham.

"Northspring is centrally located, making it more convenient for our associates and clients to collaborate in person, enabling the continued development of innovative solutions for NHS trusts and integrated care systems."

Property firm Avison Young is letting agency for the building.

Director George Jennings added: "We're delighted Altera are moving into Northspring."
